EVE MODS is an electric bike and scooter repair workshop in Burlingame, California, serving riders across the San Francisco Peninsula, from San Francisco to Redwood City. We handle everyday repairs like flat tires and brakes, as well as battery, motor, and controller problems on e-bikes, e-scooters, and electric dirt bikes.

We're riders before we're mechanics. We've ridden e-bikes and electric scooters daily for years, and that's how we learned what wears out, what fails first, and what actually keeps a ride reliable and in good shape. We bring that experience to every repair, and we're happy to share what we know so you get more miles out of your e-bike or scooter.

Every repair starts with a diagnostic, and that often points to a smaller fix than expected. A battery with one weak cell group can often be repaired instead of replaced, and a motor that stutters is usually a Hall sensor or a phase wire, not a new motor. When a repair isn't safe or doesn't make financial sense, such as a fire-damaged scooter or a battery pack without proper protection, we'll tell you upfront.

What We Specialize In

  • Tire Repair & Replacement

    Flat repairs, tube and tire replacement on hub-motor wheels, and solid tire installs for e-bikes and e-scooters.

  • Brake Repair

    Pad replacement, mechanical and hydraulic brake adjustment, and hydraulic bleeds.

  • Battery Diagnostics & Repair

    Capacity and balance testing, BMS faults, charge port repair, and cell-level repair, so a pack with a few weak cells can often be fixed instead of replaced.

  • Hub Motor Repair

    Hall sensors, phase wires, bearings, and planetary gears on geared and direct-drive hub motors.

  • Controller Replacement

    Confirming that the controller has failed and replacing it with a compatible unit, then testing throttle, brakes, and power delivery.

  • Electrical Fault-Finding

    No power, cut-outs, error codes, throttle and charging problems. The fault is found and explained before any repair is quoted.

How We Work

Workshop First

Battery, motor, and wiring repairs are done at our Burlingame workshop, where the test equipment is. Drop-offs are by appointment.

Small Jobs On-Site

Flat tires, assembly, brake adjustments, and small installs can be done at your home or office on the Peninsula, with a $150 minimum.

Diagnose, Then Quote

If the job is clear, the quote is free. If the cause is unknown, a diagnostic finds the fault first, and nothing is repaired until you approve the price.

Labor-Based Pricing

Listed prices cover labor. Parts are quoted separately, and you can bring your own or have us source them.

Workmanship Warranty

Our labor is covered by a workmanship warranty. Parts we supply carry their own parts warranty; for parts you supply, we cover correct installation.
