Introduction
If your e-bike or scooter brakes feel weak, spongy, or slower to respond than they used to, they need attention. E-bikes and scooters are heavier and faster than regular bikes, so worn pads, stretched cables, or air in a hydraulic line show up quickly as longer stopping distances. We service both mechanical (cable) and hydraulic (fluid) brake systems. We inspect the levers, cables or hoses, pads, and rotors, then adjust or repair each part so your brakes stop the way they should on every ride.
Service Overview
- 1
Brake Pad Inspection: Our technicians start by inspecting your brake pads for wear and damage. Worn pads reduce stopping power and increase the risk of accidents. If the pads are worn down or damaged, we replace them with high-quality parts (pads billed separately) that restore consistent braking and control.
- 2
Cable Adjustments: For mechanical brake systems, we fine-tune the brake cables to the right tension for precise, responsive braking. Loose or overly tight cables lead to inefficient braking or rapid wear on other components. Properly adjusted cables give you smooth, controlled braking that responds as soon as you pull the lever.
- 3
Hydraulic Brake Service: If your ride uses a hydraulic brake system, we perform fluid checks, refills, and bleeding. Over time, air bubbles or low fluid levels reduce hydraulic braking efficiency. We bleed the brake lines to remove trapped air and refill with the correct brake fluid for reliable stopping power.
- 4
Comprehensive Brake Testing: After the adjustments, we road test your e-bike or scooter to confirm that the brakes work properly under real-world conditions, including sudden stops and gradual deceleration.
Brake Service Pricing
Brake service pricing depends on the type of system and the condition of your brakes. Simple adjustments are on the lower end, while full pad replacement or hydraulic work costs more due to additional labor.
Prices are for labor; pads, rotors, and other parts are billed separately. Final price depends on the condition of the bike or scooter.

We recommend getting your brakes checked and adjusted at least once a year, or more often if you notice issues such as decreased braking power or unusual sounds. Regular adjustments keep your brakes safe and responsive.
Our brake service includes inspecting the pads and replacing worn ones (pads are billed separately), fine-tuning cable tension for mechanical brakes, fluid checks and bleeding for hydraulic brakes, and a road test to confirm everything works under real-world conditions.
Yes. After the adjustments, we road test the brakes across different braking scenarios to verify that they respond correctly and provide reliable stopping power.
