A diagnostic at EVE MODS costs $50 – $100, depending on how deep the fault-finding needs to go. The fee covers finding the fault. The repair is quoted separately, and no repair starts until you approve the price.
Usually 1–2 hours of bench time, depending on the number and complexity of the issues. We let you know upfront if more time is needed.
If you already know what needs to be done, such as a brake bleed or a flat tire, no. If your ride simply doesn't work, or has multiple issues, a diagnostic comes first so the right repair is made without guesswork.
You'll receive a clear summary of our findings, a prioritized list of recommended repairs, and a quote. You can approve all or only some of the work. No surprise charges.
Full diagnostics are done at our Burlingame workshop, because they need bench test equipment. Riders drop off from across the San Francisco Peninsula by appointment. Contact us first if you can't transport your ride.
